Suffer the Consequences

Have you ever been accused of doing something that you really didn’t do? Probably didn’t have nothing to do with the whole problem. Throughout the whole situation trying to let the person know that you’re not the one who needs to suffer the consequences.  Then, sometimes you have to suffer the consequences anyway. I know I have went through that struggle before, happened to me pretty often.

Harmon was going through that problem  in the book ‘Monster’. Richard ‘Bobo’ Evans and James King robbed a local drug store, shot and killed the owner Mr. Nesbitt and tried to add Steve into the situation. A month or so after the whole robbery went down (the robbery happened December 20th) it was a normal day, Steve was in his apartment with his mother having a conversation and the police knocked on the door looking for Steve.

When in court Bobo was trying to add Harmon in the story to make himself look better, but it didn’t quite work out that way. The whole incident occurred when Bobo and James were “supposedly” waiting on Steve to give them a signal saying the store was all clear but really Steve just happened to be leaving the store when they wanted to rob it. Steve had to convince the jury that he was just at the crime scene when it happened. Seems as if Harmon could relate to suffering the consequences.
